From wedding dress to first Communion dress

This past spring I had a new experience. I was asked to sew a first Communion dress for my goddaughter out of her grandmother's wedding dress! At first I was a little unsure how to even attempt such a project. However, I contacted a local seamstress I know and she kindly shared her suggestions. I left her house knowing this was a project I could complete. Below is the end result.

I enjoy talking about sewing, sharing sewing skills, learning from those with so much experience, creating my own inventions, and seeing others comfortable in their uniquely designed items.
